Discovering the Best Ignoring the Worst

Updated: May 21, 2024

In the heart of America, nestled in small towns and rural communities lie some of the most unique and inspiring people who have crossed my path. God's church is not four walls and a roof, it's human beings He has called into relationship with Himself. I believe that the people I randomly meet are divine appointments set up by God to not only refresh and invigorate their faith but mine as well. My journey thus far has been a true awakening to the power of God's provision if I trust Him daily. I am truly blessed with an abundant life because I never walk alone. I walk in full assurance that my Lord and Savior Jesus is right by my side. I have also been taken in by the saints and been treated like a royal guest.

I anticipate that there will be many memories made on this trip with tons of pictures and videos of the places I shall visit. I am already 54 days in and still a long way to go. I expect to partake in some of the best cowboy churches in America, found in some of the most scenic towns and rolling hills you've ever seen. Churches with cool names like Sunset Trails, Cattleman's Chapel and High Plains Cowboy Church. I hope they will embrace me with open arms and provide a sanctuary of rest for Dakotah and myself.

I know High Plains Cowboy Church is located in the heart of Buckaroo County. This church is known for its lively worship services, where you can expect to hear the strumming of guitars and the twang of banjos. The congregation here is like a big family, always ready to welcome newcomers with a smile and a handshake.

I know a real darkness has settled over the land and the media is more than willing to capitalize on the fears of the American people. But, I am reminded as I travel, that the good people of America are resilient and very hopeful and with the Lasso of God's love we can turn the hearts of the young around. After all they are the ones who will bare the brunt of this darkness into the future. So saddle up and lets hit the open road, and discover the beauty of faith in the Wild West, Midwest and the Deep South of America.
