Since You Asked

I sent my family information about what's really going on in the world. My sister answered back "Disturbing" and yes, it is a little more disturbing than what people realize. People are not going to get the truth as long as they continue living a life of mediocrity. When it all hits the fan most will be scrambling and their mouths will be aghast at what is taking place. Where should our heads be during this time of turmoil and upheaval we see being played out across the globe and in our own backyard? Well since you asked let me tell you.

Prepping is not the complete answer. I'm not a prepper but it is a small part we must consider. What is the best way to educate yourself? being informed with God's truth and God's perspective on everything. God knows the end from the beginning.

Isaiah 46: I make known the end from the beginning,

from ancient times, what is still to come.

I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’

God is Sovereign and it all begins and ends with Him which is so comforting to know. So the best thing you can do is know what God has declared in His word, Next, a person needs to realize that they will have to give an account of how they lived their life. If you sought after your own comfort and security you will be sorely disappointed when you reach the end of your life. God didn't say to build bigger barns so you could store all your creature comforts, He said come and follow me. Pick up your cross daily. Climbing the ladder of worldly success does not make me think of the beatitudes when Jesus said in

Matthew 5:10 "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" 11 "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in this same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you"

The concerns of so many are not the concerns of God. When you face God, He will not be impressed with how many  Phds and Masters degrees you have. He will not be impressed with the lead role you were promoted to or a CEO position in a multinational corporation. God will not be impressed with how many grandchildren you have, the size of your home or the many cars that litter your driveway. He will ask you one thing, did you believe in the One He had sent.

Matthew 7:21-23 states 21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’

The next thing I am about to tell you is very Important!

Belief is not saying I believe in Jesus as an historical figure because most do believe Jesus did exist.  True belief shows evidence. If my mother said to me as a child, "Don't stick your finger in the electrical socket"  and then I said, okay and then stuck my finger in it I would be considered an unbeliever. Belief is action or inaction according to what the person said. Same goes for a burner on the stove or anything she tells me to do or not do. With Jesus it's the same thing. True belief is acting it out with taking action in a situation or not taking action in a situation. If God tells me not to be anxious but to trust Him and pray then that's what I should be doing and that is faith and belief in God on all matters that are important to God.  Most Christians are just hearers of the word. If they were doers they would truly be Christ's disciples.

If you are sitting in church week after week and consuming God's word but there is no evidence of being obedient to His word then you might find yourself at the door of God's kingdom saying exactly what everyone else was saying, But Lord, Lord, didn't we do this or that.

I started off by saying I sent my family news of what's going on in the world. They were oblivious to the news because they are caught up in what the world deems as being important.  God wants us to get out of that survival mode mentality and start opening up our eyes to the truth. It's not about securing ourselves from the pain and instability of this world. Jesus was very inconvenienced and uncomfortable when He left the authority and dominion He had on His throne, but He was obedient to the plan that He laid out prior to even creating mankind. If you want an abundant life that God promised you need to get off the couch and get back in the game.  Your soul is at stake.

The final two verse I will leave you with are;

Mark 8:36 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?

Matthew 16:25 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.

Get off the bench and start living and truly believing all that God said. It begins with surrendering to the only person that truly loves you. He came down from His throne to identify with you in every way. He not only died for you but subjected Himself to every kind of evil that Satan's kingdom  and humans threw at Him. Now, that is a Warrior King you should follow. God deserves more praise and honor than you could ever give Him, but in the end all He wants is for you to be with Him in paradise.
